The hammer mill shredder employs swinging metal bars, called hammers, that are attached to high speed rotors. It works on a simple principle: when the raw material enters the hammer mill, it is hammered, shredded and impacted by hammers and gears into clean and dense metal fractions.The simplicity of the process allows hammer mills to be customized to perform any type of crushing, shredding, or pulverizing operations.
